Roll up! Roll up! All those unashamed to be inappropriately obsessing about a new Royal baby name welcome here!

As Harry and his desecendants are rapidly becoming outnumbered by the Cambridge side of the family they have much less to worry about in terms of a suitable name for a monarch, therefore, within reason they can be bit more free and creative, but still relatively formal.

I wish we could place bets but in the meantime I invite you to have a REALISTIC stab at naming the new Sussex baby.

We can have Stacie (Anastasia) or Fred (Frederick) but I will go with

Girl: Alexandra
Boy: Leo

1 boys name and 1 girls name each please no massive lists of Royals since Ethelbert!

I think they could go for a Victoria, Sophia or an Isabelle / Isabella

Boys, something like James, Alexander, Albert or maybe even an Oscar

MargaretDribble · 22/10/2018 07:40

I think they will go for something less traditional like the Tindalls.

sunshineNdaisies · 22/10/2018 07:31

Maya, Eleanor, Rosa, Mary, Alice

Spencer will be in there if it's a boy

I also think Frederick maybe.

Mark after that guy who is his mentor?

How about they combine both grandmothers' names and have Dorina or Diaria? Grin. Diaria, as in diarrhoea?

I hope it’s not one of the ‘Fran’ names suggested. They’re on my list and don’t want to be seen as copying them 🤦🏼‍♀️
I like Emmeline and Emmett Smile

What did pippa call her baby?

CaseStudyResearch · 20/10/2018 18:08

I think Sophia or Eleanor are good shouts. I hope they don’t go for Adelaide or Alexandra, as we’d have to take them off our list!

For boys, I can see them going for a nod to Wales in the middle name - maybe Huw. I also wonder whether they will do a “known by name”. So something like John but known as Jack.

PatchworkElmer · 20/10/2018 17:59

Markle for a boy? Prince or Princess just in case they don't get the title?

moredoll · 20/10/2018 03:09

Smile so you're sure it's a girl, @MikeUniformMike?

midsomermurderess · 19/10/2018 19:42

The children will be Earl in the case of a boy and Lady if a girl. Titles, that is, not names.

Unhappyandmiddleaged · 19/10/2018 19:31

James and Jessica.

Or they might be modern and say it’s not a boy or girl but X. And then the child is allowed to choose it’s own name when they are older and have decided which gender they feel like. (Sorry cannot help myself in the current climate.)

ItsalmostSummer · 19/10/2018 15:37

Rachel or Ross.
