We’ve finally got our shortlist down to 3 which wasn’t easy. I really love these 3 names now and would love to know what your favourite of these would be. I appreciate they are not the most ‘original’ of names and all appear in the most popular lists. However, strangely none appear to be very popular in our area ( yet! ) so we really don’t mind. Just really interested in honest thoughts when you hear each name and opinions on best name from these 3.

Definitely Jacob.

EthelHallowsBroomstick · 15/10/2018 14:45

Jacob 1st choice, 2nd choice Joseph.

LaLoose · 15/10/2018 12:55

Joseph a bit too common these days; Leo = born in August.

JACOB!

elQuintoConyo · 15/10/2018 12:48

Leo. Not a fane of Jake or Joe.

Grainedesesame · 15/10/2018 12:45

Joseph is beautiful!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 15/10/2018 12:45

Leo

flissfloss65 · 15/10/2018 12:44

Joseph is my favourite. I generally dislike shortening names but do like Joe.

Jacob is fine but dislike Jake.

A580Hojas · 15/10/2018 12:39

I love Joseph. Not so keen on the other two.

kenandbarbie · 15/10/2018 12:35

I like all three (not helpful!)

LividAtDolphins · 15/10/2018 12:23

Leo is my favourite but with it moving into the top 10, I'd avoid it. I also love Joseph so I'd go with that. Strong and classic. I'm not a fan of Jacob.

PinkAvocado · 15/10/2018 10:39

Joesph. Like pp have said, all the diminutives are nice (I know Josephs who day to day are Joe, Joey and Jos) as well as Joesph in full being nice. It’s was the least popular of the three lads year. The other two were top ten names.

Leo is nice but feels tied to the last couple of years even though it is a classic.

Jacob is ok.

Oysterbabe · 15/10/2018 10:12

Leo because I have one :)

sweetkitty · 15/10/2018 09:49

Jacob because I have one and don’t know any others

Icklepup · 15/10/2018 09:46

Joseph

17caterpillars1mouse · 15/10/2018 08:18

Jacob or Joseph

Not a fan of Leo

Do you have a nn you prefer e.g to you prefer Jake or Joe / Joey

ColinsVeryJolly · 15/10/2018 07:52

Jacob

ReginaPhalange89 · 15/10/2018 07:48

I like them all !
I think Joseph might be my favourite of the 3, likely to age best? although I do really like Leo!

Arriettyborrower · 15/10/2018 00:02

Joseph!

I have a Joseph, he is Joe, JoeJoe, Seph, Sephalus, Josephalus, Joebee, Joey and any number of other combinations with his middle names.

It’s a great name and suits any stage in life.

Picknickers · 14/10/2018 23:53

Love all 3 but Joseph wins.

Wigeon · 14/10/2018 22:42

Do you like Joe or Jake? Cos there’s a strong chance he’ll get called one of those.

DC18 · 14/10/2018 22:42

I like Joesph best out of the 3. Joey and Joe are also great nn x

itbemay · 14/10/2018 22:40

Joseph
Joe
Joey
Seph

Love them all

Tiarabbit · 14/10/2018 22:40

Joseph

Faster · 14/10/2018 22:37

I have a Joseph. I’m really happy with my choice for his name. Classic, strong. Though I fucking hate when people call him JJ. Fuck that.

Joinourclub · 14/10/2018 22:35

I have always loved Jacob. I knew one when I was a child thirty years ago and thought it was cool then. I don’t think of it as a ‘trendy now’ name.

Joseph is fine. I know several little Joes.

I think of Leo as a ‘trendy now’ name. The only ones I know are under 4.
