Hello all,
I'm having a boy in November, and husband and I are at a loss as to what to call him. He wants Richard, I want Stephen. Which one do you all prefer? Thanks so much!

I think Stephen gets my vote (although he may end up being called Steve, which is dated in a not very good way).

Not Richard - I think it's quite boring and old-manly but not in a cool way. Also there's a chance that when kids get wind of the fact that 'Dick' is a nickname for Richard, he might have a hard time

Congratulations! Due November here too.

Would you both be happy with either? If so pick out of a hat? They are both nice normal names and I can't see you going wrong with either. In this house I definitely get the deciding vote as ad my OH puts it I've done all the hard work to get baby here! I'd pull that card if you are set on your name x
