Thoughts on this as a name?

So me and my partner are looking at boys names, we can't seem to settle on any , I love weird and usual names and he loves traditional, but we both like the name King. It randomly appeared on a names list and we both loved it ! I know it's unusual and definitely bold but we think it's just perfect. What do you think? The full name would be King Ashley Robinson so could use middle name in later life .
With names like North &Apple out there today we don't think it's that unorthodox!

Not my favourite or my style but Iv heard more odd names on here. Call your kid whatever you like! I have cousins who choose to go by their middles names when they grew up it’s not a massive issue

I'm not actually sure that the registrars would allow the name King, as it is a title. Might be wrong though. I know there are certain stipulations about names they have to adhere to.

Agree not King, just awful, sorry op. It appears grandiose and self-important. Kingsley could be a good, safer option though.

Ashley King sounds much better, but would also suggest Kingsley and then you could call him King as a NN if you wanted.

Kingston is lovely but a bit odd if you have no affiliation?

I have a relative called Kingsley. Everyone calls him Kings. It's a fab name.

King is a title, not a name. It's like calling a kid 'Prince' which I personally have never been a fan of...

It's a title not a name, therefore King Ashley reads as if Ashley is the king.

Kingsley is fine though.

Yeah tracksuit mum. You know spends everyday wearing an Adidas tracksuit as she thinks it "cool". Basically the chavvy ones.

You'll always get negative responses with names like this (especially on MN) - it's just if how much it bothers you outweighs how much you like it! I know a teenage Prince, a baby Saint and a baby Master and I love them names! Kingsley is also nice if you decide that you don't want to use King. Good luckSmile

It’s terroble sorry. Would you consider Rex? It means King but is at least a proper name.

Otherwise try Kingsley.
