Love Genevieve.

MarcieBluebell · 08/10/2018 01:53

If it was shortened think which one you prefer.

As someone with a long name it's important. A pretty long name might be a crap name you get called day in day out.

IVflytrap · 08/10/2018 01:27

Genevieve. Nickname could be Viva/Vieva.

Rebecca36 · 08/10/2018 01:06

Elizabeth. Lovely name, timeless classic.

AhoyDelBoy · 08/10/2018 00:52

Love love love Genevieve.
Elizabeth is as dull as dish water and the nns are even worse imo.

Hayles88 · 07/10/2018 21:45

Genevieve

Elizabeth is so dull.

RedDwarves · 07/10/2018 21:44

Also, I disagree that Elizabeth has a wider range of shortenings. And Elizabeth is as likely to get Liz/Lizzie as a Genevieve is to get Gen/Genny. They are the default shortenings. You would really have to push for an Elizabeth to get called anything else.

RoseMartha · 07/10/2018 21:42

Elizabeth

RedDwarves · 07/10/2018 21:42

I'm an Elizabeth. I prefer Genevieve.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 07/10/2018 21:07

Elisabeth.

Icklepup · 07/10/2018 21:04

Genevieve

Fifthtimelucky · 07/10/2018 10:28

Elizabeth, nickname Lizzie or Liz.

IAcceptCookies · 07/10/2018 08:39

Genevieve by a country mile. Elizabeth is dull.

flumpybear · 07/10/2018 03:15

I thought Veevee (v v ) as a nickname

AfterSchoolWorry · 07/10/2018 02:14

Genevieve. Beautiful.

Blueroses4 · 07/10/2018 02:09

Guys the nicknames discourse is completely different 😅 there are things I like about the names but then there are also things I don’t like. if I were to go by what I don’t like then I wouldn’t pick them. I don’t think I’d be able to find a perfect name. There will always be something 😅 it’s okay. For example I despise the Betsy, Betty, Beth, Libby, and Eliza nns for Elizabeth. But Elizabeth is a beautiful classic name that has other nicknames, it’ll be okay. Then with Genevieve you have the Gen/Genny nns which again kind of meh when compared to the full name. But then you have Ginny, Gia, Nev, Gigi, & Eve so it also has it’s good and bad.

I have a beautiful Genevìeve nn Gìgì she also went through a Gen phase she's now grown up and uses Gìgì socially and Genevìeve professionally.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 06/10/2018 15:26

Elizabeth

Belindabauer · 06/10/2018 15:25

Absolutely Elizabeth, so much nicer.

Sunflower321 · 06/10/2018 15:24

Agree, Jennifer is much nicer in English!

MikeUniformMike · 06/10/2018 15:16

I don't like the name Genevieve. Jennifer is nicer.

InertPotato · 06/10/2018 14:57

I love the name Genevieve so much, it was to be both my boys' names but it did not come to pass.

I feel a bit sad every time I meet a Genevieve.

OhTheRoses · 06/10/2018 13:42

Genevieve was on our list but we have a seriously long surname so decided to keep the first names simple.

Friolero · 06/10/2018 13:42

I prefer Genevieve

Sunflower321 · 06/10/2018 13:38

Geneviève in French is beautiful! I'm not keen on the English pronunciation at all. Maybe you're French or in France?

Elizabeth works much ch better in Englisch.
