Does the pronunciation rhyme with Melody?
It reads as though there is an M missing at the start

MikeUniformMike · 08/10/2018 20:41

Likely to be much more popular than you think.

Kokeshi123 · 08/10/2018 13:09

It's nice enough but really similar to a lot of other names that are around at the mo (Ellie, Ella, Edie, Eloise, Emily).

MsSquiz · 07/10/2018 21:42

I love it! A friend has just had twins and named one of them Elodie

carben · 07/10/2018 21:33

I always think someone 's forgotten to put the M at the start. Sounds lovely with a french accent. Not so great without.

BlancheM · 06/10/2018 18:10

It's aged a bit too well where I'm from, there are loads, loads about same age as me and older. But I'm not from the UK originally! I'd say it's like Sarah, Emma or Louise

Treaclepie19 · 06/10/2018 16:59

I really like Elodie.

TheDowagerCuntess · 06/10/2018 03:49

Not keen.

Seems very 'of the moment'. Lacks substance.

Sungura · 06/10/2018 03:42

It's nice.

SuperstarDJ · 06/10/2018 03:08

Like Elodie but was taken off my list as I really dislike Elle/Ellie as potential shortenings.

teenybean · 05/10/2018 22:42

I love it, dd has a little friend called Elodie, & she is lovely, it really suits her & since meeting her, I have fallen in love with her name a little

ileclerc · 05/10/2018 22:30

My favourite. Dh wouldn't have it though.

princ3ssconsuelabananahammock · 05/10/2018 22:21

I hate it and I don’t know why. It irritates me

Sophronia · 04/10/2018 23:02

Not keen

SabineUndine · 04/10/2018 22:21

It’s lovely.

DC18 · 04/10/2018 21:51

Not a massive fan of Elodie tbh I don't think it will age very well x

KERALA1 · 04/10/2018 21:26

Terrible. Detest it also hate Elouise sorry. They are whiny names

HereBeFuckery · 04/10/2018 20:33

Honestly, a bit overused. Not helped by the ones I know belonging to quite wafty precious types... sorry!

DramaAlpaca · 04/10/2018 19:53

Very nice

brokenharbour · 04/10/2018 19:52

It seems a bit try hard? As in trying to be unusual but actually there are a lot of them about. It's pretty though.

itsbritneybiatches · 04/10/2018 19:51

Gorgeous. Sounds so calm and chilled

ismellsnow · 04/10/2018 19:16

Lovely name

wildewillow · 04/10/2018 19:12

I love Elodie. Prefer Lola as a nn rather than El though but I don't think it even needs a nickname.

lexi727 · 04/10/2018 19:11

I love it! DH hated it so we agreed on Edie. I regret not getting my way.

fatbottomgirl67 · 04/10/2018 19:10

Love it
