OK so we dont know what were having but we have a short list for both... middle name for boy would be James and for girl I am open to using any name that goes (probably another one from short list if it goes) anyway here it goes DONT HATE ME - i dont mind popular names but want it to be a fairly "normal" and "nice"
Surname begins with F say Flowerson

William James
George James
Samuel James

Ava
Ayda
Darcy

@WannabeMumm It doesnt worry me too much what other will shorten things to or how they pronounce it, or if people think its popular etc just want something that sounds nice and normal ie if you hear a mum calling for there kiddie in a park ... dont want others to think OH GOOD GRIEF haha

@BernardsarenotalwaysSaints spelling of the name Darcy is one of those things we would have to think about if it makes top 2 haha ... its either Darcy, Darcey or Darcie and i naturally type Darcy but would probably ask close friends and family what they thought before making a spelling decision .. funny how everybody has a preference.

@LJFM2B I've heard it pronounced Aleesha too. So that's something to keep in mind if you're worried about it being pronounced incorrectly.

LJFM2B · 03/10/2018 14:03

@WannabeMumm Alicia is pronounced Ah -li- sia or at least how we would pronounce it Blush

@Pemba I like Eva too but DH is not a fan, this list is our very narrowed down list from lots ...

Darcy can be a surname yes, but you could say that for Samuel, James or William ... i think with the names that are out there now Darcy potentially being somebodies surname really isnt a worry for us especially as i have never known anybody with it

Alicia is pronounced Ah -li- sia or at least how we would pronounce it

William James and Ava Emilia for me

inabox · 03/10/2018 13:46

Really like William James.

Girls names are ok but not blown away by any

flybabyfly · 03/10/2018 13:43

Samuel and Isobel

WannabeMumm · 03/10/2018 13:43

Yes, how do you pronounce Alicia?

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 03/10/2018 13:42

Samuel James & Darcy Alicia (although I prefer it spelt Darcey). I like all of them though.

Icklepup · 03/10/2018 13:40

Samuel or Emilia

Zioanna · 03/10/2018 13:39

Samuel and Alicia are lovely

Thistly · 03/10/2018 13:39

I agree, darcy is a surname. The other girl names are nice

I like Samuel best for a boy; the others are very well-used.

DC18 · 03/10/2018 13:39

I like Samuel James and Emilia Darcy x

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 03/10/2018 13:36

William James and Isobel Darcy.

Pemba · 03/10/2018 13:34

I'd probably say Samuel and Alicia or Isobel - lovely names. But Alicia is more unusual as I suppose you know - how are you pronouncing it?

But I like all of your names except Darcy WHICH IS A SURNAME, I don't care how many little girls have the name. Quite like Ava, but it seems every second baby girl is being named this, and I actually prefer Eva.

finallychangedmyusername · 03/10/2018 13:27

I'd vote for Samuel James and Alicia Darcy or Emilia Darcy.

WannabeMumm · 03/10/2018 13:24

George James or Emilia Darcy.

All lovely names in my opinion.

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 03/10/2018 13:11

William and Emilia

SerenDippyEggs · 03/10/2018 13:10

George & Emilia

Bamaluz · 03/10/2018 13:07

William and Alicia.

I actually like all of them, which is unknown for me on a baby names thread, but all of the other girls names are so, so popular. Fine if you don't mind that though.

LJFM2B · 03/10/2018 12:56

Wow nobody has been mean about any of these names!!! this is a nice thread! I really like them all and when they are singled out like you have all done its actually nice to see the different combos!! @kettleonplease i think my favourite is the same as you :) ( today anyway as im so fickle these days)

Is it true that when baby comes we will "know what to call them" ... really id like to narrow it down to 2 of each but some people say if we both love all the names we should keep them and wait till baby comes and see what it suits.

Thanks for all your help so far
