It's a pretty name, whether pronounced Clemen-TYNE as in the song, or Clemen-TEEN. I like it.

I don't mind it but, if it bothers you, it is becoming increasingly common. I taught two in small Y2 class last year, and there are a mother 2 in EYFS this year.

One was never shortened last year, other was always called Clem. One in EYFS is called Clemmy.

I like it. I know an adult Clementine and it is never shortened to Clemmie/Clem, always used in full.

I like it, but I also don't like Clem/Clemmie. I know one who is often called Lemon for short.

Love it but DH vetoed it straight away and kept singing “My darling, Clementine” at me lol. It’s on my guilty pleasures list because of this. I also think it’s different in style to your DC’s name... Would be a nay for me even though I love the name itself

Personally I would never use it. But has a fresh, sunshiny feel to it. Clem and Cleo do make cute nns as suggested by two pp.
