Name rhyming with dog's name?!

Sorry, this is a ridiculous one Grin

We found out today we are having a baby girl and one of the names we love is Maisie. However, we have a dog called Daisy!

I was talking to my mum about it and she said she doesn't think it's a big deal, and obviously our dog won't be around forever, but I don't know. Part of me thinks it would be a shame not to use a name we love just because of it, but part of me wonders if it is a silly idea.

Any thoughts?!

I was thinking about the dog confusion aspect too! But we do tend to call her a pet name more often than her real name, so maybe she won't care...

It's a minefield!

I guess if you don't really mind, use it. Me, I'd be worried about confusing the dog! 😃
Maybe some other names will grow on you while Daisy is prancing around. 🐶🌼❓

It's really not a big deal. Use Maisie it's beautiful and quite unusual too.

I don't think anyone will notice/think anything of it.

I don't think I'd go for it, but might be because I'm a bit old fashioned rather than the rhyming thing. The most important thing is how you, her parents, feel about it.

My family hated my daughter's name but that didn't deter us because we love it. They have got used to it (mostly).
