Truly Unusual Names

What are some of the most unusual names you like or love?

My favorite names tend to be of African origin. But my list was eclectic. I had a girls list with Marjani, Kiania, Tuliza, Kinaya, Aluna, Sareeya, Kioni, Mila, Bia, Muirna, Meryl... etc.

For boys I love Omari, Lazola, Sanga, Bercan, Brannon, Errol, and Garridan, Jedrek, Jotham, Langston, etc.

So, what really unique or captivating names have you liked or loved but never used for fear of teasing, mis pronunciation, other..?

@Sungura I thought you might! It's the name I have lined up for a boy if I ever have one 😊

We both like the name Nahko (after a singer we like) and I love the name Koa so I made up the name Nakoa. Turns out it's already an actual name! I realised this when I googled Jason Momoa's kids names. I saw him on a chat show and I was curious, after I realised he was from Hawaii (I don't watch game of thrones but I believe he's in that). I love Hawaiian names!

Ramona is one of my favorite girls names now. It's grown on me. 😍💕 Amos is nice. Don't know why it's not used more often. Nakoa? Wow! I like the sound of that Cosmoa!

I like Amos & Cornelius for a boy; Dorothea & Ramona for a girl.
Not totally out there but I wouldn't be brave enough to use them!!

Also Holm for a boy, meaning 'island on the lake', but I worry people might pronounce it 'home' like the wine.

I work with a Bronte and went to a baby group where one of the babies was called Castile. Also had an uncle called Emrys.

D2018, I went to Uni there was a guy, a poet, I hung out with who swore Bronte would be part of his son's name. He is too much of an adrenaline junkie that he never settled down and got had children, though. Also, I love Eden for a little girl. ❣😘💋😘❣

For a girl: Seressia (pronounced Sare risha) and Hypatia but this one i have heard prounounced both as Hi PAT ia and Hi PAY sha

For a boy: Bennet(t)

I Love Cyan and Emrys for boys. Bronte and Eden for girls. Not brave enough to name them these though lol x

Persephone is one of my favs, too. Jolie and Fallon are pretty. Honor! Cassius! So many cool names so far. LovelyBranches, yours I cannot even begin to pronounce. 😂😎😏

I always liked Fallon - a character in the original Dynasty.

Also Jolie which means pretty on French.

Evangeline shortened to Eva.

Boys-
Bear, Errol, Ace, Huxley, Aslan, Basil, Herbie, Lupin, Zeus

Girls-
Africa, Asia, Gypsie, Dolly, Binx, Lennox, Bindi, Zelda, Xuli, Phoenix, Onyx, Topaz

Didn't end up using any of these but still actually like a couple of them!!😂
