Currently expecting DS1. I am totally stuck with boys names and keep coming back to James. Is it too dull?

I have a James and love it because, like a PP said, it’s one of those names that spans the ages and classes. It never goes out of fashion, it’s a good well rounded solid name. I thought there’d be lots of james’ at my sons school but actually in his first school there were no other james’ and at his current school I think there are only 6-7 in his whole school!
I don’t think it’s dull at all and still love it now. In fact I’ve been struggling to find another boys names that’s timeless and I can’t think of another.

Luke, Jake and James were my list for ds when I was 6 months pregnant.

And then we called him something else. Still slightly regret it as I love those three names.

James is a gorgeous name.
I love it.

It’s not dull- it’s traditional and classic and timeless.

Not like these silly far out attention seeking made up names you get people call their offspring these days.

Go for it!

James is a great name. Doesn’t age either. Good choice.

ConsiderHerWaysAndOthers · 11/09/2018 21:56

Very ubiquitous amongst men in their 20s/30s but I actually haven’t met any small ones. It’s definitely a classic and a good solid choice.

DramaAlpaca · 11/09/2018 21:55

I love it.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 11/09/2018 21:55

I love James (biased) I think it’s a beautiful name

Stilllookingfor · 11/09/2018 21:54

And Jamie is nice.

Stilllookingfor · 11/09/2018 21:54

James is better than George

SunnySomer · 11/09/2018 21:54

Ive got one so I love it. But he is one of many. However, I choose it because it’s ageless and classless and could be amended in so many ways to suit his personality once he’d got one. (So you’re not necessarily just “James”).

Luke. Jake (although too well known for 10 years now). Would be further up in my list. Do yu have a second name?
