OH and I struggling to decide on name for first daughter! He is Italian so name has to work in English and Italian. Middle name is definitely Daphne for family reasons. Top contenders are-

Valentina (OH's fave)
Eloisa (I love this - too weird though?)
Cordelia
Aurora
Beatrix

Thoughts and suggestions please!

Ooh and Letizia!

RickOShay · 11/09/2018 21:45

Love Valentina.
What about Chiara or Gioia?

RavenWings · 11/09/2018 21:45

I second Chiara, Allegra, Leonora, Rossella and Alessia.

Valentina - love this
Eloisa - I think atm anything El- runs the risk of being Ellie, and that is generic and boring. Eloisa by itself is nice enough but not coming close to some of your other options.
Cordelia - nice enough
Aurora - always think this looks prettier written than it actually sounds.
Beatrix - ok. Second least favourite here.

I like Valentina, some other pretty names are Chiara, Carlotta, Letizia.

Eloisa I love and definitely not weird, actually I'd say it's the most traditional from your list.

Electrascoffee · 11/09/2018 21:41

I have a half Italian dd who I named Isabella. But that may be a bit too popular. From your list I like Valentina.

Viviana
Giovanna
Sophia

I love Chiara and Allegra. Out of your list Valentina is my fave, also sounds more “Italian” to me than the others

pollysproggle · 11/09/2018 21:33

I love the name Allegra! I think it's both strong and beautiful.

I've always wanted it but doesn't sound good with my boring English surname (and I don't have any daughters..yet).

Eloisa is very pretty!

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 11/09/2018 21:32

I love Valentina. I would choose that.

Luciana

All your names are lovely

Lucy1103 · 11/09/2018 21:09

Alessia?
Eloisa sounds very pretty (although not my cup of tea) and doesn’t seem too weird at all
