What sort of girl is Matilda?

Love these threads as everyone always has such different ideas. I personally love Matilda (despite it being very common now) because of its meaning- mighty in battle. I think of a strong willed, brave and intelligent child. I guess that might come from the book though!

Blond bunches and dressed like a rag doll. Strong and asservative but girly with it.

I think the same. A clever, independent girl with a mischievous streak. Matilda is a lovely name x
