Thoughts for my girls?

I had a recent thread earlier in my pregnancy of the name daffodil, that was quickly shut down but I am pretty set on the names Stella-Marie Joyce Mitchell and Adelie-Blaise Kathaleen Mitchell. I’m open to suggestions on changes but I’m just looking for opinions, cheers!

@Sophronia I am from the south and have a tradition of double names in my family so I think I am going to keep the hyphensGrin

I think of Blaise as a girls' name and I'm in the UK.
I like Stella Marie and Adelie Blaise, Joyce is okay. I don't like Kathaleen, prefer Kathleen..
I prefer them as single names.

I think Stella ( on its own ) is a fabulous name - it needs nothing else added with a hyphen for a first name IMHO. I also think Blaise is a boy's name but Mary or Marianne would be lovely. Anyway - your choice - wish you well, ( but I do love Stella as a name ) Grin

I am from the south in the U.S (Texas pride!) and double names are very common (ec: Mary Ellen, Anna Grace ect) and the Blaise part of Adelie Blaise is after my Aunt who passed away a few months ago. Adelie is an American name, it is not so common but it is a name

Just FYI, your daughters' names will fit on no forms ever if you keep them that long. That may not be a problem, but my daughter's name is 6-letter first name, 9-letter second name and often does not fit.

So I would go either

Stella-Marie Mitchell

and

Adelie-? Mitchell

Or

Stella Joyce Mitchell

And

Adelaide Kathleen Mitchell

I thought Blaise was a boys name

Adelie sounds made up whereas the long form options (Adelaide/Adeline) and Adelie as a nickname nicer

I would also go for either just double barrelled and surname or no double barrell and middle name as Double Barrell Plus Middle Name Plus Surname seems OTT

Stella-Marie is nice but not my personal taste
