Does anyone like the name Teddy for a girl?

If you do like it for a girl, how would you spell it?

OK for a small stuffed toy.
Not for a person.
Obviously nicknames sometimes evolve within the family, but don't make this anyone's real name.

Mike it's not about whether a name makes you like a person. It's about saddling a child with a stupid yooneeq spelling or name that they have to spend their whole life spelling out and correcting pronunciation. So unfair.

Teddi is dreadful. As a shortened version of Edward, Edwin, Edgar, Theodore etc it's lovely.

People always seem to forget in 'baby names' topic that people 'become' their names. Honestly, Teddy doesn't seem at all cutesy to me or my DS. He's never had a single negative comment and his name just suits him. I suppose Ted is more 'grown up' and I call him both but his preference is Teddy

Then they can use their full name eg Thea or Theodora.

I find Teddy very cute and babyish. I wouldn't like that name as a teenager or adult.

I grew up with a girl whose name was Thurla. Her mum obviously not on Mumsnet to do a "do you like this name" survey...
Her nn was Teddy.

I love it as a boys name. Not so much as a girls.

I have a 12 year old Teddy. Nickname Ted. He prefers Teddy though and is quite comfortable with his name and becoming a man with it. Confused it just suits him

However, it's not a girls name in my opinion
