Those are very German name choices - are you living in Germany? Both very common among school age kids where we live in Germany.

Emanuel is quite religious sounding obviously and I think personally that it's an odd choice for a non religious family. Lends itself to nicknames, though not bad ones.

Florians always become Flo IME, which to an English native ear sounds feminine, but not to Germans.

I'm not mad keen on either tbh but neither are objectionable. Which would depend whether your Christians - calling a baby born to atheists Emmanuel is as odd as calling him Christian.
