Full name for Libby?

We’re set on calling dd Libby - dp and I just can’t agree on what it should be short for.

He likes Elisabeth, I prefer Liberty.

We’ve also considered Olivia (but it’s so popular at the moment), and we both really like Lydia (but it seems like Lydie would be a more obvious nn)

Any thoughts?

I know a liberty and an Elizabeth called Libby as well as a Libby with no other name. I'd just go Libby.

Because it’s nice for her to have a more ‘formal’ option for when she gets older/CV etc. Lots of people are fans of a more formal name on a BC.
I would go for Elizabeth, nice and classic. Just call her Libby from day one and people will follow suit (this is from my experience)

If I met a Libby I would assume her full name was Elizabeth.

Isn't that like having a "good" room that nobody is ever allowed to use. Whats the point of giving her a name that you are planning on not using.

If you want to call her Libby why are you looking for another name to use? Why does it need to be short for something else?

Elizabeth is the traditional long version of Libby.

If I met a Libby I would assume Elizabeth.

Id just use Libby tbh. Its perfectly fine aa a name in its own right.

If you would rather have a longer version, Elizabeth is a classic, however there is no guarantee that others and she will end up using Libby.
