Is it a 'stripper' name?

I really like the name Luna for a girl, but my boyfriend's friend said it sounded like a stripper's name!
Does it? What do you think?

Not a stripper name but my friend has a dog called Luna so I think of it as a pet name

I think it could easily be turned into Looney (as indeed Luna Lovegood was nicknamed) but it does seem to be getting more commonly used. Maybe that association will go away?

Really?! I so many dogs and not one is called Luna. Loads of them called Bella, Holly, Max, Oscar, Rupert though.

It's a bit Harry Potter but it's a nice name and becoming more popular (but not overly so). I definitely wouldn't say it was a stripper name.

There are a lot of baby and toddler Luna's around where I live. I like it and don't think of strippers. I do think of Harry Potter.

I know 3 Luna's. Neither are dogs or strippers. MN is just dead shitty when it comes to putting down perfectly lovely inoffensive names probably because their own kids have shit names. Its spanish for moon.
