Hi all I’m back again, despite knowing I was having a girl from 15 weeks she is here with no name. Feeling the pressure big time, all help appreciated.
Names

Emilia
Ada (DH favourite)
Lydia
Nina

Or Cora both love but could we really call our daughter Cora Kane?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
ApolloandDaphne · 28/08/2018 19:35

I like them all but Lydia is my favourite.

ThunderR0ad78 · 28/08/2018 17:20

Clara instead of Cora?

My fave from your list is Emilia !

starkid · 28/08/2018 16:59

Cora Kane!

I also like Lydia and Ada, but they don't sound as good with the surname.

Also congratulations :)

missmsormrs · 28/08/2018 15:29

Something like Elizabeth or Georgina works a lot better. Your list is lovely but the names are very soft sounding with such a hard surname which is why they run into each other - LydiaKane - like Novocain...

RebeccaWrongDaily · 28/08/2018 15:24

Really not keen on Amelie/Amelia/Emilia etc.

love all the others though.

Rosemary46 · 28/08/2018 14:57

Defo Emilia or Amelia or Lydia, the short surname needs a 3 syllable first name.

MiriAmmerman · 28/08/2018 14:52

Lydia and Ada don't sound right with Kane imo. Lidocaine is an local anaesthetic, and Adakane sounds like it should be.

Emilia and Cora are both nice - Cora Kane is fine (I think it sounds quite feisty), and if you both love it, go for it!

allright · 28/08/2018 12:28

Corakane remind me of hurricane!

allright · 28/08/2018 12:26

Ada Kane sounds like medication, sorry.

Emilia is the best of the list. Difficult surname!

Take your time, use a nn meanwhile.

llynnnn · 28/08/2018 12:26

Lydia Kane sounds lovely! congraultaions on your new arrival

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/08/2018 12:24

Emilia Cane is nice.
Prefer Cara to Cora.

fieryginger · 28/08/2018 03:03

Cora Kane is great. Congratulations!

Pemba · 28/08/2018 02:39

Lydia and Nina are lovely. I prefer Amelia to Emilia.

Ada and Cora are both a bit fusty.

TroubledLichen · 28/08/2018 01:53

Congratulations! Cora Caine is a pain killer ointment for people with false teeth. Lydia Kane sounds like Lidocaine, another drug. I’d avoid either of those because they sound like you found your ‘inspiration’ whilst sleep deprived and picking up nappies at the pharmacy.

Nina is my favourite but any of the other options would also be fine.

NC4Now · 28/08/2018 01:48

What’s wrong with Cora Kaine? I like it.

DeadDoorpost · 28/08/2018 01:45

Cora Kane just sounds like youve taken the names of Roman Atwood's kids (youtuber)

Emelia is nice

BlankTimes · 28/08/2018 01:40

Cora, single syllable middle name that does not start with a vowel or C or K , Kane sounds good to me.

Beeziekn33ze · 28/08/2018 01:19

Cora Kane is cool!
I do like the name Lydia but imho Cora goes perfectly with Kane.

Congratulations, enjoy your baby!💐

IllBeAtTheBarIfYouNeedMe · 28/08/2018 01:17

I actually know a Cora Kane. She’s lovely.

Cora is nice but I do prefer Lydia from your list.

However, she’s your baby and I’m sure you and do already know what you want to call her. Dont worry, it’ll be perfect Smile

NoCureForLove · 28/08/2018 01:16

Cora Kane is great.
You could always use Coralie or Coral nn Cora.

AlliKaneErikson · 28/08/2018 01:07

With a name like Kane she needs to be called Harriet (Harri Kane!!).
In all seriousness, though, Cora works but as much as I like the name Lydia it does sound like ‘lidocaine’ the drug, when said with Kane.

Picknickers · 26/08/2018 22:27

Cora Kane is awesome!

Babymammy · 26/08/2018 21:32

Congratulations! Another for Cora Kane ! Also like Ada Kane

GoodHeavensNoImAChicken · 26/08/2018 21:27

Both Emilia and Cora are lovely. Cora Kane works imo, don’t worry about the alliteration!

isabella2 · 26/08/2018 21:23

Emilia is my favourite followed by Cora.
