Where I live we have a sandwich shop called Crispins - so I think of the granary French stick I have with tuna mayo, cheese, red onion and sweet corn...

In my head Crispin is a geography teacher with ear hair and a deep seated resentment of the Deputy Head.

I think of someone for whom I worked years ago whose son was called Crispin. A very clever and talented boy.

We had a Crispin at school. Xmas time was always fun, every time Crispin, someone would sing:

'Good King Wenceslas last looked out, deep and Crispin even'

No it doesn't make sense. It was the 1980s we were easily pleased.

The bloke who ran the vegan shop next door to where I used to work called himself Crispin. He was weedy with dirty blond hair and smelt of patchouli oil. We discovered his real name was Mark.
