Me and dh knew of a Venetia for a short while. I actually really like the name but between us we referred to her as venetian.

Vienetta and blinds here too I'm afraid. (Felicia is quite similar but without those associations!)

Elise is a very nice name, although I'm not so keen on the nickname Ellie.

I think they're so different in style/feel and was expecting to see a total landslide in favour of Elise. Nice to see Venetia is getting votes - I have never heard of a child named that before so if you want more unusual, Venetia is the one.

Wrt Elise and songs, as well as the PJ Harvey song, the Cure song Letter to Elise is so great. Oh and Beethoven. It'll be easy to find music boxes with a melody "Fur Elise" Smile

Venetia, apart from Viennetta, reminds me of Venetians as in the blinds.
