The name Lucian for a boy? Plus what are your thoughts on the name? Do you know any?

I'm Scottish but wouldn't call Lucy "Loo-shee" surely it's the same sounds?

I automatically thought Malfoy and I'm not keen on the name but there are worse out there!

In my experience, the pronunciation is between the she an and the see an. Lovely, dignified name.

We considered Lucien. We love warewolf / vampire films. In Underworld different characters probounce it in different ways depending where they are from. Loo-shun or loo- cee- an.

It depends. I worked with a Loo-see-un and know one other pronounced that way. They were both Home Counties, very upper middle class.
But I also know a Loo-shan who has part Scottish family although English accent themselves.
I’d naturally go with the former I think.

I like it! Although the ambiguity of pronunciation would put me off using it myself.

I liked Lucian as a name but didn't pick it as it would get mispronounced all the time!
