Thoughts on Fox as a middle name for DS? I think it’s too out there for a first but DH loves it so considering for a middle name and wanted opinions

Thanks for responses - mixed as expected! If you were told it was a family name (surname), would that make it less weird for those that aren’t keen?

Whatami hmmmm!!

QuoadUltra · 18/08/2018 20:35

It’s a bit needy.

I had a friend as a teen who was only known as 'Foxy' because of his surname, I don't actually know what his actual first name was! It was cool as a nickname, and while I wouldn't have it as a first name it would be fine as a middle imo.

As long as your surname's not Mulder!

MissBax · 18/08/2018 20:34

Why?!

Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar · 18/08/2018 20:33

Why call your child after an animal? 🦊🦊
Very odd.

Treaclepie19 · 18/08/2018 20:32

I like it. I'd use it as a first name if it worked with our surname.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 18/08/2018 20:28

It's pretty different. I quite like it.

bridgetreilly · 18/08/2018 20:28

I think maybe it's just about okay for a middle name. I hate the 'foxy' connotation, though. And can you imagine when he goes grey - he'll be the silver fox.
