Hi we are due a baby in a few weeks and have a list of girls and boys names. We have narrowed down to a few of each. Would love opinions.
Boys: Bruno, Matteo (Matt), Massimo (Max), Noah.

Mateo and Vanessa.

TheVanguardSix · 16/08/2018 17:37

Matteo and Vanessa.

I like Gioia too for a girl.

MeyMary · 16/08/2018 17:35

Oh... Hm. That's a bit unfortunate. Not as bad as BJ, ASS or STD but still...

But Bo is also a given name, isn't it?
The OP could add a middle name. Or use it as a nickname but call him Bruno (as a pp suggested)...

haverhill · 16/08/2018 17:32

It’s a commonly used abbreviation for body odour.

MeyMary · 16/08/2018 17:31

What is so bad about the BO initials? What am I missing?Confused

SubtitlesOn · 16/08/2018 17:16

Do you live in uk or Italy?

Could he have the name ? bruno O.....

So the initials are ?BO

But call him Bruno but it is actually a middle name as far as initials are concerned

Schools will call him anything you want and quite often in my DH classes the children were called by their middle name

chewbacca83 · 16/08/2018 16:55

I really like the name Bruno but I don't want my child to be bullied! My mum just found a lamp from my childhood nursery with Bruno bear written on it. It seems like fate!

I would avoid BO. Kids can be cruel.

Jollyholliday · 15/08/2018 21:12

Matteo and Mary
Mary is very beautiful and timeless!

LeeMiller · 15/08/2018 20:31

Matteo is lovely. it's extremely popular for little boys in Italy, don't know if that bothers you.
Massimo/Massi/Max is gorgeous. Noah is nice but anecdotally there seem to be a lot around.
Personally, the BO initials, the Sacha Baron Cohen film and Bruno Mars would put me off Bruno.

Vanessa is really lovely.
Nora is nice (and for me, even better as a nn for Eleonora which is really beautiful).
Anita is fine but feels a bit 1970s.
Mary is classic, Italians would probably just call her Maria.

LoveB · 15/08/2018 20:25

Matteo and Anita are my faves!

I'd personally avoid BO... but it probably doesn't matter

Racecardriver · 15/08/2018 20:24

Bruno is a dog name but the rest are lovely. Especiallu like massimo and nora

NoSleepTil2030 · 15/08/2018 20:20

rebelrosie12 · 15/08/2018 20:17

Massimo is the most beautiful name.

haverhill · 15/08/2018 20:16

Matteo!

haverhill · 15/08/2018 20:15

I like Mattel and Anita best of your list.
Can I just mention Lucia which means light? It’s so pretty and the one I know is amazing!Smile

Yika · 15/08/2018 20:13

Matteo and Vanessa. Lovely names.

Modestandatinybitsexy · 15/08/2018 20:11

I really like Matteo, Noah and Norah. Have you thought of Cara for a girl? Really pretty and means dear in Italian.

MariaMadita · 15/08/2018 16:13

Bruno: I have a granduncle named Bruno he's an absolute bastard which is probably why I personally don't like the name...

Matteo (Matt): popular but very nice! It's also on our list.
Massimo (Max): I prefer Massimiliano/Maximilian but it's nice.
Noah: nice.

Vanessa: nice.
Mary: I prefer Maria but it's nice.
Anita: very nice. Anita Garibaldi might be an interesting namesake for your LO:)
Nora: very pretty.

DC2018 · 15/08/2018 16:08

I like Matteo and Nora best x
