Madison or Violet?

( I do like Madeleine but not sure about the different pronunciations)

Violet is a beautiful name but was vetoed by my DH for, apparently, "sounding like 'violent'." Pah! It's a gorgeous name, go with it.

Madeleine is lovely too. You were never going to get Madison past the MN jury, tho...!

Not Madison, it is very dated.

Violet is beautiful, but Madeleine is even better.

Violet out of the two by I much prefer Madeleine

I don't mind Madison or Violet but Violet has less negative connetations connected with it

I didn't think Madison would evoke such strong reactions. I love Madison or Maddie for short I would definitely prefer it to Violet. My taste is usually quite old fashioned. Violet is lovely but for me, it reminds me of those awful sweets!

Violet 💜 Not only do I have a beautiful 18 month old with the name but I've never seen the appeal of Madison personally.
