Perrie

Dh suggested this today for a girl and I think I quite like it.

I'm not quite sure how to spell it though - Perrie, Peri, Perry...?

I'm also unsure whether it should be short for anything - I think I met a Turkish Peri once whose full name was Perihan, but I'm not sure we could use that for a 100% Welsh kid!

I know a Perrie. I think it’s lovely. Hers is short for Perpetua.

AtticaRose · 10/08/2018 20:47

Ooh, Perrine is pretty.

LoveInTokyo · 10/08/2018 20:47

I'm not keen.

LaChatte · 10/08/2018 20:46

I know a couple of Perrines (am in France).

AtticaRose · 10/08/2018 20:44

I can only think of Peregrine or Perdita as long forms.

I would go for Perrie or Perry.

OlennasWimple · 10/08/2018 20:43

Perrie looks like you've dropped the R from the end of the fizzy water brand

Perry is Kevin's friend and pear cider

Peri is the nicest

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 10/08/2018 20:43

Perri maybe? Perry makes me think of the pear cider, and seems more masculine. Peri is like the prefix.

2gorgeousboys · 10/08/2018 20:43

I know a male Perry so would say not that version.

DramaAlpaca · 10/08/2018 20:42

Not Peri as it makes me think of peri-menopause.

calzone · 10/08/2018 20:41

Harry Enfield

Kevin the teenager and his friend Perry came to mind.

Bobbybobbins · 10/08/2018 20:40

I would say not with a -y ending as this seems more masculine.
