Rufus is great, cool and characterful. Rupert is dated and full to me. Reuben is quite nice.

Daftapath · 08/08/2018 16:16

Ruan?

A Cornish name, I believe

susurration · 08/08/2018 14:58

I love them all. I think Rupert just edges to the top spot though.

myotherbagisgucci · 08/08/2018 14:47

I love the name Rupert!

Especially as it's my dogs name! 🙈

Greeneyedgeek83 · 08/08/2018 14:40

Rupert the bear
Rufus the dog
Reuben the child :)

FlotSHAMnJetson · 08/08/2018 14:12

I know loads of Ruperts of all ages, never shortened to Roo though, always Rupe or The Bear.

What about Rafe?

ingenvillvetavardukoptdintroja · 08/08/2018 14:10

I only know 3 Reubens so not as crazy popular as people think. On the other hand I know 7 Ezras

CaptainCucumber · 08/08/2018 14:06

LOVE Rufus

Rupert is too wet for me, a bit like Timothy

Reuben is the name of an aggressive Staffordshire Bull Terrier around here

TheCag · 08/08/2018 14:02

Reuben is v v popular around here.
Rufus is gorgeous (I have one Smile), we’ve probably met four others in six years.
Rupert lovely too, I know one (aged 2).

Nemophilist · 08/08/2018 14:02

Love them all. Even know a Rufert (filapino descent).

Mum2OneTeen · 08/08/2018 13:58

JessieMcJessie I was thinking the same thing!

ZebraKid71 · 08/08/2018 13:49

Don't like rupert
Love rufus
Know loads of reubens under 5yo. Not fussed on it.

LlamaPyjamas · 08/08/2018 13:48

Rupert will end up being called Bear. Depends if you like that! Reuben is my favourite of your suggestions.

foxtiger · 08/08/2018 13:45

I can't stand Rupert but I like the other two. Also came across a Rudy recently which is quite cute, although I'm not sure it will suit him so well when he's 50.

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 08/08/2018 10:26

I love Rufus but don't like Reuben, Reuben is v popular where I am.

Rupert is a bit meh.

careerontrack · 08/08/2018 09:46

Rupert is a bit wet and Rufus is a bit posh for me. I quite like Reuben but you could also go for kangaroo?

D0do · 08/08/2018 09:43

I quite like them. Has no one mentioned Rupert Bear? Grin

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 08/08/2018 09:35

Rudy is cool !

LauraNP123 · 08/08/2018 09:30

Rupert is a little bit head boy at school assembly for me, but it is classic.
I like Reuben the best probably, although it is a type of sandwich in the States. Not sure that matters though

AtticaRose · 08/08/2018 09:07

I know 2 Ruperts (20, 42) and 1 Rufus (3).

I like Rufus best! But then I do like Roman names.

BikeRunSki · 07/08/2018 23:09

Rupert - 2, 45 ish and 5ish. Both very posh.
Rufus - none
Reuben/Ruben - 5 or 6. 50 ish and under 10.
Ruraidh - 1, 55ish.

Sandstormbrewing · 07/08/2018 23:03

I love Rufus, but we've had some bad reactions to it.

MadMaryBoddington · 07/08/2018 22:53

I know two Ruperts and one each of the others. To be honest I don’t like any of them (the names, not the children).

I love Rudy though.

ReginaPhalange89 · 07/08/2018 22:32

I like Reuben best but I know they're becoming popular.

If you're after a Roo name I really like Ruairidh

RedDwarves · 07/08/2018 22:23

Love Reuben and Rupert. Not a fan of Rufus.
