Brother for Theodore

We call our son Teddy mostly, and looking for a name for our next baby due in January. I like Rudolph (Rudy), Herbert (Herb or Bert) and Lowell. I’m finding it hard as Theodore tended to get a mostly positive reception and we love it, so finding another boy’s name that we equally love is proving a little tricky. Any thoughts?

Sorry but Rudolph?! That would be setting him up for a lifetime of bullying 🙈

Ralph or Gabriel (Gabe).

wilbyroo · 06/08/2018 21:25

We have a Rudi and everyone comments on how much they love it so that gets my vote!

Interesting to see Ralph mentioned a couple of times - I have a toddler Ralph and Theodore is on our list for DS2's imminent arrival Smile

I love Rudy, but not Rudolph.
How about Rudyard on paper, not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it.😄

Not a huge fan of Rudolph or Herbert. Lowell is ok. How about:
Ernest
Caleb
Xander
Stanley
Arthur
Isaac

Sorry but Rudolph is awful 🙈 shortened to Rudy is ok but I reckon he'd be teased for Rudolph.

Sebastian and Benjamin come to mind for names that'd go

Tryingoutanothername · 06/08/2018 17:37

Gabriel

DCam06 · 06/08/2018 17:29

Our of your list I like Lowell best. Herbert it's nice and Bertie and Teddy together sounds adorable. I think he might get teased if named Rudolph.
Suggestions a similar style to Theodore;
Rupert
Benjamin
Nathaniel
Augustus nn Gus is lovely
