What are peoples throughs on Rosie as a full name and not a NN??

Were due in 5 weeks and i like Rosie, my DH likes Isla...

With the middle name of Elizabeth??

I like Rosie, but I think I'd go for Rose or Rosa and have Rosie as a nn.

I have an Isla and my sister is called Rosie Elizabeth. Both great names, Isla is so popular now though. Rosie is a lovely name 😊

How about Rosalind.

Rosie when she's a little girl, Rosalind when she's a high court judge.

Rosa is more classier and will be appropriate for when she becomes an adult. You can still use Rosie as a nn but Rosa will give options as an adult.

I like Rosalie better as that way she could be Rosie as a child and choose either Rose or Rosalie as an adult x

Sorry for the +24hr reply to thank everyone, It has been a busy day and i have just managed to sit down and read all your comments. Thankyou, ill let you know what we choose on the day and get to see her before we make that final decision on the name.

I like both but Rosie Elizabeth is easier to say than Isla Elizabeth, which has that annoying thing of the vowels running together in the middle. If you do go with Isla, would you consider Isla Rose/Rosie?

Rosie is a guinea pigs name to me.

I have a Rosie - she's nearly 30 now and still suits her. She manages to adult most days and has a good career with an international firm. She's been a barmaid too. We didn't like Rose - seemed too old fashioned at the time but Rosie just seemed to fit. She was nameless for a few days and I think sometimes the right one just pops into your head!

I think it is fine when she is small and gorgeous. I am not sure it is a serious adult name tbh, I can’t imagine her being an investment banker, barrister etc with Rosie as her name

We considered Róisín for a girl, with the intention of shortening it to Rosie for a girl. It didn’t suit our surname really so we gave it the dunt, but might be a good alternative?
I do like Rosie, but we’d worried about the “could they be a plumber, or a high-court judge question - which never really seems to be asked about boys’ names.

I prefer Rose. Rosie is too cutesy for my taste, though it's fine for a child.
