Husband and I really struggled from the offset to choose a name for a boy. We hoped to have a group of names for boys and a group for girls. That way we could hopefully choose one when we see their little face for the first time. We found out it was a boy many months ago and have REALLY struggled to find names we both like.

We wanted a name that wasn’t common but not too bizarre. We really like ‘Lochlan’ but made the mistake of suggesting it to people. I am Scottish and H is English. H really liked the idea of Scottish/Celtic or even Scandinavian names. We thought this was a good compromise...but not sure if the mixed reaction is a sign to choose something else!

Thoughts!?!

Thank you in advance Smile

If you like that, what about Struan?

I don't particularly like it but nothing wrong with it.

I really like Lochlan. I'm Scottish too and know a couple men in their late 20s named Lochlan and Lachlan. Its different but not strange. If you and DH like it then go for it x
