Girl names ending in ie or y

Struggling with girl names. I've come to the conclusion I like names ending with ie or y. I love the name Lexie but my concern is it rhymes with sexy....this is by far my favourite as is my husbands but not sure I can see past it haha.
I also like:
Darcie (husband not keen but like a lot)
Maisie (husband not keen)
Chloe (you guessed it...husband not keen)
Holly (not overly keen but he likes it)
Millie (both quite like this)
Lottie ( both quite like this)
Evie (both quite like this and family name, too common?)
Sophia (same as above?)
Ella (both have always liked but associate it with someone I know who isn't very nice)

Any thoughts or suggestions? We also like Jasmine which bucks our trend slightly

I like Lottie but short for Charlotte

Mousefunky · 02/08/2018 08:00

Lottie is nice but when it’s shortened from Charlotte.
I like Ella, Sophia and Jasmine best from your list.

Most of the names on your list are diminutives, which I personally think are too cutesy to be given as names - fine for children, but not for a grown-up. But the Greek-based ones, like Chloe and Phoebe, are really nice. Sophie instead of Sophia? Penelope? Zoe? Daphne?

zeebeedee · 01/08/2018 20:21

Polly is cute, and seemed to be missed a bit when every 2nd girl seemed to be a Holly, Molly, Milly, or Tilly!

I know an adult Pollyanna known as Polly, and it suits her professional job too...
