Not a nice sounding name. No.

staycalmer · 01/08/2018 20:09

Gosh no, it's an awful name. I knew a horrible Jeanette, she swore a lot, smoked, and ate raw sausages!

Strawberrymelon · 01/08/2018 20:08

I much prefer Juliet but I think Jeanette is a nice name.

NotAgainYoda · 01/08/2018 20:00

Or if it's the ette/et you like:

Claudette
Colette

NotAgainYoda · 01/08/2018 19:57

Belinda

I'm in that bracket. I'd say more like 60-65

NotAgainYoda · 01/08/2018 19:56

It is dated but it's quite nice

I prefer

Juliet
Julia
Genevieve
Joy

Aquamarine1029 · 01/08/2018 19:43

Very dated and frumpy.

Kokeshi123 · 01/08/2018 06:51

Is it pronounced "jee-net" or "jinet"?

I prefer Jean.

moredoll · 01/08/2018 05:54

No

daisypond · 31/07/2018 19:08

I does seem dated to me. But Jean and Juliet are both great.

ErrantBakedBean · 31/07/2018 18:29

I do find it a bit dated, along the lines of Deborah or Elaine. Love Leonette though, meaning lioness, with Letty or Netty as a nn.

Belindabauer · 31/07/2018 17:49

Would she be named after someone? It's often a name associated with women of around 40-50.

BonnieLass5 · 31/07/2018 17:47

Awful. Leave it in the 50s.

TatianaLarina · 31/07/2018 17:44

So so awful.

I don’t think Jeanette Winterson would have chosen it.

billysboy · 31/07/2018 17:39

www.jeanettebrakewell.co.uk/

Hardly boring or dull !

Icklepup · 31/07/2018 17:35

Juliette Jean is much nicer.

DramaAlpaca · 31/07/2018 17:30

No. Very dated. I don't like Jean much either, but it's OK as a middle name. Juliette is nice.

Juliette Jean would be fabulous.

MarshaBradyo · 31/07/2018 16:12

Much prefer Juliet

villainousbroodmare · 31/07/2018 16:10

I prefer Jean.

LeeMiller · 31/07/2018 16:08

Jean and Juliette are nicer than Jeanette.

Habeebtea · 31/07/2018 15:07

My mums name!

deptfordgirl · 31/07/2018 15:03

Jean is nicer. Also love Juliet

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 31/07/2018 14:54

Id go for it. Jeanette is far from dull these days
If you're worried about being 'dull' avoid names such as
Ava Amelia Freya. Isabelle. Sophia.Isla
Lily, Ruby. anything hyphenated with May/Rose/Grace.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 31/07/2018 14:03

No sorry. Jeanette and Janet are dull.

Jean is nice.

BakedBeeeen · 31/07/2018 14:01

Sorry, Jeannette is very dated, it would be like calling a baby Beryl, or Gloria, it just sounds weird!! Juliette or Juliet is far nicer.
I do like Jeanette winterson as an author. Just not baby name inspiration.
