Honest opinions please!
I'm having twins don't know the gender yet but I have a gut feeling it's two girls.
Can I have honest opinions on these names please
Penelope (nel)
Eleanor (Ella)
Frances-grace
Thank you x

If you like Frances-Grace then use it. I think it's better without the hyphen but that me. She will be your baby not mine.

AmberMai · 27/07/2018 12:41

@MikeUniformMike
It would obviously be upper case G 🙄
I like choosing names that mean a lot to me or my husband so "Amba-Lynn" wouldn't fit in there and it also sounds like one of HenryV111 many wives.

Penelope and Frances or Frances and Grace

MikeUniformMike · 27/07/2018 12:33

How about Amba-Lynne?

MikeUniformMike · 27/07/2018 12:33

Oh dear.
It makes it look like you couldn't choose a name.
Frances-grace sounds like France is Grace.
It looks naff.
The lower case g makes it worse.
You could go even better and have Francesgrace.

Quangot · 27/07/2018 12:29

I like Frances and Eleanor (Nell).

Jacob and Eleanor

Vincent (Vinnie) and Robin

AmberMai · 27/07/2018 12:14

@MikeUniformMike
Not being funny but what's so bad about a hyphen I have one in my name and I love it

Frances-grace is a perfect example of two nice names ruined by a hyphen.

AmberMai · 27/07/2018 12:09

@clarabellski
Beatrice is another name I love
More of the old fashioned British names I like haha! X

I like it @WaxOnFeckOff !

@AmberMai I hear you ok kids saying Fanny... I didn't think of that, but I think that's because I've never heard any use it. What about Francesca?

I think you've got a few good ones in your lists 🙂

WaxOnFeckOff · 27/07/2018 11:34

Robin and Francis
Robyn and Frances

B/g could be Robin and Frances or Robyn and Francis.

Job done!

WaxOnFeckOff · 27/07/2018 11:31

Penelope and Eleanor could be Penny and Lena or Nell and Nora.

Robin and Daniel
Robin and Samuel
Robin and Edward.
Robin and Elliot

Mousefunky · 27/07/2018 10:51

Penelope and Eleanor are lovely. I would go with Penny instead of Nell or Nelly. Penny and Ellie.

twooomuch · 27/07/2018 10:12

I like Penelope and Juliet.

Other girls names with a similar 'vibe' (imo): Josephine, Vivienne, Marielle, Alexandra. Also a bit different but what about Maya..

For boys how about Alexander (obviously not with Alexandra), Caspar, Marcus, Thomas

If I had b/g twins they'd probably be Caspar and Vivienne...

AmberMai · 27/07/2018 09:52

@Pudding01
Thanks Jacob is really nice still unsure but it is one of our top boy names, I'm scared incase Franny sounds too much like fanny I know that was a popular name but now it's more of a joke. Thank you xx

I like those names @AmberMai

Penelope (Nelly/Penny) & Frances (Franny) sound quite cute!

Robin & George
Robin & Jacob
Thomas & Henry/Harry
Samuel & Frederick/Freddie

AmberMai · 26/07/2018 21:49

We both love Penelope and Juliet!
Still loving nel but think we'd just keep Juliet as their name

To whoever asked yes definitely dark hair the Dad is Sikh family are all Indian and there are no blondes in my family aha!
I think for two boys one would be called robin unsure on another name, thank you to everyone keep the names coming this is really helpful Xxx

No don’t nickname her PEE!

Definitely have dark hair? (We have a blond child despite both being dark!).

Love Bridge’s suggestion of Penelope and Juliet.

kaylanelson · 26/07/2018 21:33

I really like the combination! and I like nelly and Ella sound adorable together! you could always call Penelope 'pea' so they're not too similar? I think they're really cute!

bridgetreilly · 26/07/2018 21:33

Oh, I also think you can have Eleanor and Penelope, but not if you're going to call them Nel and Ella.
