Brother for Rumer and Sage

Expecting my third and we’ve settled on a girl’s name but just can’t think of anything for a boy.
My daughter was Rumer and my son is Sage. I like unusual names that aren’t top 500 or so

So far I like Job (DH won’t go for it and slated on here)
We both liked Atlas but we know one so probably not
We do like Quinn but it is popular. Also Pip but not sure about Philip.

Ideas would be welcome. Unisex names a bonus.

One of my best friends has a lovely son called Sage.
Her other two sons are called Eden and Jude, maybe you'd like one of those two names - they're all pretty much grown now and really likeable young men.

I love Jem for a boy (short for Jeremy)

Ledehe · 27/07/2018 14:28

Rumer is Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's kid and Sage is Sylvester Stallone's so should we be looking to celebs for inspiration?

Pixie, Zephyr, Moxie, Maddox, Harper, Sparrow, Apollo, Everest, Story, Hero, Huxley, Juno, Indigo,

Definitely Quentin (biased Smile)

Mrssnickers · 25/07/2018 10:50

If you like Quinn but it’s too popular why not go for a longer name with Quinn as a nn.

OP we are so on the same naming wavelength I think!

We have a Bodhi and also considered Atlas for his name. Currently 39+4 with his sister and still torn for ideas!

If you are looking for a boy’s name related to wisdom here’s a few to think about:

Cato

Alden
Solomon
Conrad
Hugh

OP, I totally get that you mean about wanting a longer name. I also really liked Pip during my first pregnancy but couldn't find a “grown up” name to go with it so didn’t use it. My second son was born very early and didn't Make it, so Pip was the perfect name for him as he would never have to worry about being a grown up.

Naming children is so hard.

Sorry about your baby girl, OP. xxx

I love lots of the names suggested. I quite like what my DH calls 'dog' nameslike Jet, Duke etc

Linus is lovely, as is Storm.
I love Rudy.

What about Kip (character from an Ondaatje novel not the Biff and Chip books!)
