Vowel-y names

DH's last name is very consonant-y (begins Cl- and ends -ns, two syllables) and pretty rare. Looking for suggestions for boy and girl names that have plenty of vowels! Relatively recognisable and easy to say/spell is a plus. DH also hates boys names of the Archie/Alfie/Freddie type.

I like:
Elinor (can't use)
Maria
Beatrice
Natasha
Naomi
Arthur
Matthew
William
Alexander

Any better suggestions?

@Pudding01 I know, right? It's all just a bit of fun, @Iamtryingtobenicehere

@Janek It is indeed good for vowels! Grin

Really enjoying the suggestions. Smile

@Iamtryingtobenicehere you've come on to a board full of threads about baby names, to make a dig at one of many people asking for opinions?... 🤷🏼‍♀️

I do however like all of your girls names 🙂

@AtticaRose of yours, I like Naomi. Natasha is nice, but I find it a bit dated for the next generation. I like all of your boys names, although I think Arthur goes well with the surname I've made up for you in my head!

Not struggling at all, we've got plenty of ideas we like (see first post). Just thought I'd have some fun and see if anyone came up with something cool we hadn't thought of.

Chill out! :-)

Aoife is good if you like a vowel!

Iamtryingtobenicehere · 22/07/2018 08:34

I do worry that if you and DH are struggling to name your child, how will you cope with all the other decisions you have to make?

Sorry if I sound harsh, I’ve just never understood why any parent would ask the internet for help naming their baby.

I like Emily, Charlotte, Rose, Isobel and Lucy or Charlie, Jonty, Harry, Oliver, Lawrence or Monty.

Oh, and DH is Irish and my grandmother was Welsh - so open to those names!
