Choosing between these five names but very open to more suggestions. Which do you like best?

Valentine
Romane
Alicia

To go with very French surname beginning with R.

They're all lovely but I'm fond of romance

user1469968406 · 23/07/2018 14:43

They're all pretty, although I think Valentine sounds the most French.

How about Elodie? I think it's such a pretty French name.

diddl · 23/07/2018 14:30

Ines or Manon

sonnyboo · 23/07/2018 13:41

Love Valentine (female version of Valentin)! So pretty!

I'm not so keen on Naomi.

Mousefunky · 23/07/2018 13:17

Inès

QueenoftheSilverDollar12 · 21/07/2018 21:59

Louanne

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 21/07/2018 19:30

Do you live in the UK? Just think of how a french name could be mangled by a British accent.

I like Inés from your list.
Also agree Noémie, but she will get called Naomi anyway ( which doesn’t sound French to me).
Magali
Nadege

@yika

Berenice is Greek in origin not French

Yika · 21/07/2018 14:19

I like Romane, very pretty.

Also capucine and amandine as mentioned above.

What about
Celeste
Seraphine
Sibylle
Astrid
Berenice
Nadège
Solène

LeeMiller · 21/07/2018 14:13

Capucine is lovely. French girls' names are so pretty, I think Naomi would be a wasted opportunity.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 21/07/2018 12:52

Capucine is beautiful, I love that. I like Cosette too.

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 21/07/2018 12:49

oh yes Manon!

My all time favourite French (and Welsh) girls' name!

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 21/07/2018 12:48

Yvette

TwoGinScentedTears · 21/07/2018 12:47

Manon is my absolute favourite French girls name.

LesLavandes · 21/07/2018 12:40

Camille
Elodie
Amelie

Timpani · 21/07/2018 08:10

Inès

TatianaLarina · 21/07/2018 08:07

If you’re in France Inès are two a penny. So from the list Valentine or Romane.

My favourite French names are Manon and Capucine.

Picknickers · 21/07/2018 02:29

Sorry but that name will quickly become anal in any secondary school in the UK

QueenoftheSilverDollar12 · 20/07/2018 23:59

@JiltedJohnsJulie It's pronounced Ann-eye-elle. Gorgeous name i always think 😃

timeisnotaline · 20/07/2018 23:42

Garance? I like this very much but feel you should be french to use it so it’s never been on our lists.
Manon is very pretty too.

RedDwarves · 20/07/2018 22:23

Naomi isn't French. It's Hebrew.

Noémi is French - "no-ay-mee".

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 20/07/2018 20:42

Inès is beautiful. I'm also rather fond of Anouk.

florascotia2 · 20/07/2018 20:27

I like Naomi best of OP's suggestions, and also Amandine and Clemence (should be acute accent on first 'e') as suggested by previous posters. But the French people called Clemence that I've met pronounce it 'Cleh-mohnse' . As in the audio clips here: forvo.com/search/Clemence/fr/

FairySpringer · 20/07/2018 20:06

Naomi

heateallthebuns · 20/07/2018 20:00

I don't like valentine ('s day) or romane (lettuce), others are all lovely,
