Which name would you pick and why?

I quite fancy being a Madeleine because my name is short and a bit cutesy, and I fancy something longer but not too frilly.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Maria or Lucy.
I was named after a dog with a very "dog" name. My mother thought it was cute. It wasn't.

AmazingPostVoices · 19/07/2018 22:08

My name is lovely. My parents had brilliant taste. Grin

I couldn’t imagine wanting to be anything else.

AnElderlyLadyOfMediumHeight · 19/07/2018 22:04

Lucia.

kaytee87 · 19/07/2018 22:03

I wouldn't, I like my name.

I used to love the name Louise as a child but have since met some right cows called Louise and they put me off it Grin

JaretsGirlfren · 19/07/2018 22:00

Lola or Saffron.

My own name is fairly ‘out there’ and I’d like a name which is not common but everyone recognises.

Mxyzptlk · 19/07/2018 21:55

Kay.
I've always liked it and not many people, that I know of, have that name.

Bumble1830 · 19/07/2018 21:49

I love Imogen, I so wanted it if I ever had a girl, was never to be

MarklesMerkin · 19/07/2018 19:23

Lavinia. I have several ancestors with the name and I really love it. I wish it had been passed down to me.

BlueAir · 19/07/2018 19:18

Pam I did toy with it... Grin

MrsMaryMooFace · 19/07/2018 19:06

I love my name but I've always fancied being called something really posh like Araminta, Jacinda, Tabitha, then calling myself Minty or Tabby or that kind of thing Grin

PipeTheFuckDown · 19/07/2018 19:00

Ida

Or

Skaði

DickensianHysteric · 19/07/2018 18:51

I'd be a Sarah or a Suzanna, instead of this 1950s name I've been lumbered with at the age of 38!

AhCheeses · 19/07/2018 18:50

I could be Lizzie if I was brave enough to tell people I'm going by my other name... but I'm not.
The popular girl in our school was Lizzie and I was always really cross at my mum for naming me the wrong way around.
I'm over that now but I do still prefer it.
Whenever I start a new job I consider introducing myself as Lizzie 😁

PamBeeslysCardigan · 19/07/2018 18:46

@BlueAir You changed it to one of the names above... I’m guessing it’s Chelsea Dagger, right? Grin

littlemissalwaystired · 19/07/2018 18:45

Eliza I think.

BlueAir · 19/07/2018 18:43

I changed my name (first name and second) to one of those mentioned above, straight after getting divorced last year. And I'm no spring chicken
Still feels strange when someone says it but I'm glad I did it.

BevBrook · 19/07/2018 18:41

I love my name and it has already been mentioned on this thread. But if I was to be another name I would pick Laura. There are names I like better but they don’t feel like me, whereas Laura does.

dinosaurkisses · 19/07/2018 18:41

@noselimit not Kayleigh but you’re close! 😂

PamBeeslysCardigan · 19/07/2018 18:40

I’d like to be Lara or Elizabeth. I really hate my peak 80s and very common name.

FawnDrench · 19/07/2018 18:39

Meredith or Imogen

katseyes7 · 19/07/2018 18:39

l love Sarah, but if l could go completely off the rails l'd be Chelsea Dagger.

Queenbee93 · 19/07/2018 18:39

Mary
It's so beautiful and classy. So much history behind the name!

Racecardriver · 19/07/2018 18:37

I thi k I would make a nice Evalina or Katarina. Or possible sonething like Estella or Minerva.

haribosmarties · 19/07/2018 18:33

Id love to be called something completely over the top but pretty like Olympia or Anoushka.... I think its because my mum really wanted to call me Emerald but was prevented by my dad!

thirdday · 19/07/2018 18:30

I'd like to be an Elle or something short. My name is a 3 syllable name and I've always fancied a short one.
