names for twin boys?

Due twins in the winter (eek!)
Already have girls names we love picked out but really stuck for boys names! We cant really have a name ending in a "n" or "k" sound as our surname begins with k and ends in "on" so these names sound ridiculous imo.

Want something that wont date and not too matchy. James, Henry, Matthew, Thomas were all my suggestions and hubby hates them all! We are both completely void of inspiration!

I loved the names Leo & Luca for my twins but the names REALLY don't go with our surname and I was told when pregnant to avoid giving the same initial (awkward receiving post, separate identities that sort of thing!) my boys are Zachary and Joseph (Zach & Joey). Had tonnes of girls names picked but really struggled with boys names! Good luck 🍀

I gave birth to my twin boys this morning I wanted something matching and same initials but others commented that they wwould need to find their own identity i really wanted River & Riley Brown but i didn't in the end.
Now im enjoying my boys Spencer & Jesse

If you haven’t already Purple get yourself to a meeting of your local twins and multiples group (check the TAMBA website for info)

They’ll be happy to welcome you before the babies are born and will give you lots of advice and top tips!

I can also highly recommend the book Mothering Mutiples by Karen Kerkhoff Gromada. It’s on Amazon and has lots of useful info particularly about breastfeeding twins.

Thank you for all the suggestions - plenty to suggest to husband! Also thanks for the insight into being a twin mum ive not got my head around it all yet! Been told they will be identical so two of the same. Also laughed quite a lot at Pinky and Perky Grin

So based on everything you've said, including your girl name choices I'm thinking you like names that are:

  • Fairly short - 2 syllables
  • Names that won't date
  • Names that suit twins whilst not being too matchy.

Suggestions:
Oscar and Leo - both are classic but currently popular which might bother you.

Or a couple of one syllable names:
Seth and Glenn
Piers and Niall
Lance and Ross
