Does anyone have any opinions on Tabitha?
We already have a Hugo - the other names we're considering are Violet (but I think it's too popular at the moment), Delilah, Matilda and Agnes.

My mums cat isn't called Tabitha. I love Violet! It's my favourite girls name. Very pretty.

I really love this name. It is one of the only names that I have just loved immediately and have not analysed back to front. You may get some funny faces and some will say it is a cat's name but that is just because of Beatrix Potter and it really isn't that unusual. Besides some would have said the same about Felix at one point but nobody I know flinches at that name now and nobody is surprised to hear a child called Bella despite it being a popular dog's name.

I wanted to cal DD Tabitha (Hugo was out top pick for a boy so we obviously have similar tastes Grin) but DH said it was a cat’s name and vetoed Sad

Violet was also struck off our list due to the French/English Violet or Violette pronunciation issues but I love it. Love Tabitha more though. The only name I don’t like on your list is Agnes.

It's lovely. And goes perfect with Hugo.

I love it but DH used to have a cat called Tabby so he vetoed it. To be completely honest it does sound like a cat's name but only because of the historical cat
