Does anyone have or know of a baby called Nancy? We love the name but people keep saying it’s “old”. Smile

I like it BUT it reminds me of an aged out of date term used by people a few decades ago to describe flamboyant homosexual gentlemen - I head to soul search a lot about whether to call DD it for this reason and we didn’t.

BUT if it’s good enough for Dave and Sam Cameron....

I know a 13-year-old Nancy. I think it's on the rise and is filtering through to babies now. I like it.

I love it. My friend had chosen this as a definite for her dc but he turned out to be a ds. It's definitely number 1 choice for her next dc. Haven't met any yet in the many baby and toddler groups I attend. Would be a great choice

It's my first name but I have never used it because it was an old lady name when I was growing up (I'm in my 50's). I so regret not using it now - I love it but am stuck with my boring, very overused middle name 🙁. Go for it - cute for a little girl but works for a strong independent woman too

Love Nancy and it was top of my girls names list. I only know of 1 and she is now 11.

My grandmother was Nancy.
She was actually Annie Marguerite, but nicknamed Nancy. Love it!

I love it. Also makes me think of Nancy in Oliver. Belongs to a sassy, big hearted gutsy kind of gal xx

Lovely name! It is definitely rising in popularity.
I would have liked to use it but it is my late Aunt's name. She died over 40yrs ago (would have been in her mid-80s now) when my cousins were still children and I know they would have really struggled with me using it.

pineapple is wrong, I'm a secondary teacher and Nancy is starting to trickle through.

DS2 would have been Nancy if he was a girl, love it.

Take no notice ! Nancy is a lovely name! I remember when I met a 2 year old Muriel, before the current fashion for "older" names. At first I didn't like it. By the end of that day, I loved it! People will associate Nancy with a lovely little girl, and will love it!
