9 names, can you put them in order of preference please?

We have 9 names that we really like and I definitely don't particularly prefer one over the other. Wondering if people could just put these in order of preference to help us out a bit? Thanks

I don't like Adam as all the ones I've known have been a bit umm...not at all the sort of person Eve would have been attracted to.

Don't feel you have to change any of the spellings to their UK versions, use what feels right to you.

Thanks :) we are not originally from England which is why some spellings are not "English" I just assumed they were quite known now. Thanks for the replies

The order would depend on why you chose certain spellings. If I had to choose, I would choose Olaf.

Olaf and Bruno to be avoided if you are from Eastern Europe but in the UK, if you intend to stay in the UK, i’d advise the anglicised spelling or they’ll be saying “with a k not a” for the rest of their lives

Daniel, Oscar and Alexander are fine but overused, and telling people how you spell them would be a pain.

Gabriel pronounced GABry-EL sounds like the girl name Gabrielle, similarly Jakub will get called Jacob not yack-oob.

Obviously the OP (and/or their partner) are from outside the UK, people!

For the record I don’t dislike the other spellings as it’s obviously to me that they are just versions of the names in another language. I prefer the English spellings but that’s just because it’s what I’m used to. As I said I think they’re all nice names and if you like one of the names with a non-English spelling you shouldn’t be put off with the comments on here.

There are lots of Polish people where I live and all the English speakers cope fine with their names!

  • Olaf I would avoid because of Frozen

So many great names! Leon is the only one I'm not keen on. Do you live in the UK? Jakub will be pronounced "Jay-kub" which may be annoying. (I love the nickname Kuba)

Out of the others my top 3 would be Oskar, Daniel, Adam
