Picked an unusual-ish name and now regret it, should I change her name?

Agreed with pretty much every other poster to keep Audrey. It just reminds me of Audrey Hepburn, very elegant and graceful. It’s 1000x better than Olivia, they’re a dime a dozen. Keep it! It will grow on you.

Olivia is nice, I do like it, but it is really popular now.

I think Audrey may be quite grown up sounding for a little baby, so it takes a while to get use to it, but she will be an adult much longer than a child, and she will grow into in.
It is a lovely classic name, and when I think of it I immediately think of beautiful elegant Audrey Hepburn, so what a name to have!

Audrey will be increasing in popularity as all the Audrey grandmas named after Hepburn die off.
You will be quite the trendsetter as you got in there early. I like it, far far easier than Olivia, as she'll be unlucky to share her name with any others in her class/year.

Audrey is a lovely name. Olivia is also nice, but I think for something a bit different, ageless and classy I think Audrey edges it :)

Haven’t read the whole thread, so someone may have said this, I think the problem is that it isn’t a very ‘baby’ name. However think of a toddler, child or adult with it as a name and it’s absolutely lovely.

Another one here for the Audrey fan club. It’s a beautiful name. Very pretty and sweet. Don’t change it!!!

When I was having my babies I knew one Audrey. A few people initially commented it was an 'odd' name but within minutes seems to switch to "actually it's very classic and it's not so common etc"

The Audrey is now 14 and she's Aude at school. It really suits her, and everyone knows her.

One of my friends called her dd Queenie. It raised a few eyebrows but again, she's a teen now and she's just Queenie. You don't get many in a school!

I love Audrey! It was on our my list for all of my DC but DH never agreed. It really is a beautiful name.

If you’d called her something ridiculous like Princess Honeyblossom I’d say change it, but Audrey is a fine name. You must have liked it when you picked it. You’re just having doubts because people haven’t reacted as you would like. But don’t worry what those people think. Your daughter will grow into her name and soon you won’t be able to imagine her being called anything else.

Beautiful name! Just a thought, sometimes when babies are christened it's traditional to give an extra name..could be the chance to add another name that she could use later on? But I love it, so elegant and classic.

Stick with Audrey OP because there are a gazillion Olivia’s out there & Audrey is lovely

Audrey is a great name! Anyone who turns their nose up at the name of a child already born is very rude, imo.

My son is called Jed and it didn't suit him as a baby and it didn't sit well on him, but now he is grown it suits him very well - and he loves having such an uncommon name.

Audrey has been my favourite girls name for a long time. Beautiful.

Audrey is a gorgeous name but maybe some older people think is old fashioned.

Being completely straight with you, we all like Audrey but you have doubts and these will grow and grow. I honestly would change it. If you don’t like her name now you never will. At this age no one will be any the wiser, and certainly not your baby. I would change it, host a little tea party to honour the name change and be happy with her name.

Audrey is a beautiful name. I thought it was going to be an awful name, but it isn't at all. I love the name Audrey. Far nicer than Olivia in my opinion.

PLEASE KEEP THE NAME AUDREY! Writing notes capitals because that is how much I love the name!! (Slight bias as it’s my daughter’s middle name ) I cant believe you’ve had negative comments about it irl! It’s gorgeous and far nice than Olivia imo!!

My first thought was Audrey Rose.

I love the name Audrey. I know a feisty 3 year old Audrey and she suits it to a tee. Such a classic beautiful name.
Audrey Hepburn was an absolute queen.
Own it mumma, it's not strange or unusual it's beautiful.
I have a friend who works with children who called her dd Olivia... couldn't get my head around her using such a common name. It's pretty but I'd much rather have my own name than share with many.

Gosh Audrey is an absolutely beautiful name, please don’t change it to Olivia!
