Thoughts on siblings with the same 1st initial

I don't usually like to see same initials in siblings. My sons name begins with "S" and I'm expecting another boy in October and the name my husband and I love begins with "S" again.

This is purely a coincidence. Their middle names will be completely different letters, so in the future when they get mail this shouldn't be a problem. Do you think it's ok? I don't want to find another name purely because I'm slightly put off by the same initial.

It's fine, me and my sister have the same initials and it's never caused problems.

Post gets a bit annoying as children get older .... But as they won't live together forever - it's fine :)

Thanks for your replies. As I said we haven't purposely thought of matching initials. And it's not 5 or so siblings like the kardashians as if we have a girl we like a name that starts with "V".

I just didn't want to go with our second best name (E initial) and have regrets.

Yes that's true, going with your best names.

Hash yes I think 10 kids is a bit too far! Would run out of names!

My 2 DDs have the same initial. It’s a non issue and makes naming uniform easy as I bought name tags with the initial and surname.

I have 3 kids and two share the same initial. I don’t think anyone else would ever notice? But even if they did it’s more important to me they have the best names I could think of for them.

It's absolutely fine. I know a family where there are 10 kids all with the same initial, that may be taking it a bit far but in general, it's not a problem at all.
