My daughter also has a 'nanny may' ❤

rainbowstardrops · 05/07/2018 06:55

Congratulations! Thanks

HJL2506 · 05/07/2018 06:44

Justalkintomydog · 02/07/2018 19:24

What a beauty I love her little hat! Her name is lovely xx

BlackBeltInChildWrangling · 02/07/2018 15:08

Lovely photo OP. She's going to be a character, that one! And Summer May makes perfect sense. Well done, and I hope you're doing OK. It's a tough job at times, but worth it. Take care, love from Auntie BlackBelt Flowers

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 02/07/2018 13:51

Awwwwwww. Her iccule fingers are so cute

EsmeJay · 02/07/2018 13:37

Thank you all,
I have chosen May as her middle name because of her great nan her name was Maybelle and me and my sister would call her "nanny May"

Hi again OP. I am on your other near identical thread, so this confused me! I was the one who suggested Summer Grace? I also like Summer June and Summer Rose, but maybe you've gone for May for a particular reason? It's lovely, anyway!

I've replied more on your other thread, but hope you're both doing well. Flowers

happytobemrsg · 30/06/2018 15:07

Beautiful name! Also think Summer June rather than May would be just perfect

Rainydaydog · 30/06/2018 14:11

Congratulations I think Summer is just perfect for a baby born in this lovely sunny weather. I do love Summer May and the names go very well together, but I agree Summer June would also fit her birthday and June is slightly more unusual. Another I like is Summer Rose.
Any chance of a picture?

Icklepup · 30/06/2018 11:24

Agree, Summer June

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 30/06/2018 10:38

Awwww. My not so little now girl Grinwas 6lb 10oz
Summer is a fab name for a baby born in this heat wave.
However instead of Summer May
I'd have Summer June for the following reasons.
She was born on the last day of June. Insert first name here- Mays are everywhere.
May isn't even a Summer month
. Not tyring to influence you. Just saying what I'd do

Peregrane · 30/06/2018 10:17

Congratulations and welcome to little Summer!

EsmeJay · 30/06/2018 09:05

I think Lily and Grace are fairly popular? Just because you said you want names that not many others have used. But its a nice list of names.

Other ideas:
Daisy
Sadie
Thea
Julia
Neve
Harriet
Millie
Amelia
Ruby
Freya

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/06/2018 10:20

❤️ Maisie.

Rainydaydog · 29/06/2018 07:45

Another vote for Summer its such summery weather right now it seems perfect.

Cosmoa · 29/06/2018 07:40

I would go for Summer... Especially in this weather Smile

merlotmummy14 · 28/06/2018 21:16

I love the name Maisie! My gran was called Maisie and I know a 21 year old also called Maisie who is equally lovely. I have her nickname (May) as my middle name and put May as my daughter's middle name too since she was taking her dad's last name - Heather May Surname. It's timeless and is never too trendy that she'll have more than one Maisie in her class. Lily and Skye are also lovely (considered Skye for our wee one but didn't suit surname). Are there any family names you quite like? Ask your parents about great-grandparents, 2nd cousins etc. Think favourite movies, tv shows, books, for inspiration as well. We had Matilda in the running as well as I loved the book growing up however DP thought it was old fashioned- another positive of being a single mum is you get to decide yourself! We had 4 or 5 names in the running when the wee one was born but as soon as we saw her we both immediately agreed she looked like a Heather so don't worry about final decisions just yet as you might know as soon as you meet her. My mum's a midwife and has had a few babies named after her or had her name as a middle name slipped in as a gratitude.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 28/06/2018 20:58

How are you coping in this heat and being ready to pop.

EsmeJay · 28/06/2018 20:26

Thank you all,
Loving the suggestions and loving the names
Poppy
Grace
Summer
My family like the names
Skyla
Isla-Rose
Courtney ( Im not keen)
Summer
Autumn
Lily
