30 weeks and we have zero names.

Ideas? Two syllable surname.

In the book Fried Green Tomatoes Imogene is shortened to Idgie. I always loved it, it's very different.

OP with both your DD names ending in A I think something less snappy/ending would be nice i.e. Grace/Rose/Sophie from your list.

That's what I'm a bit worried about. It's going to end up Immy or Im no matter how much anyone insists on Imogen. Amelia has become Mia through natural shortening which is why I'm not 100% set.

Oh goodness. Well perhaps bear in mind that others will shorten Imogen to Immy even if you don’t

Immy brings back bad memories of a girl who used to bully me in high school (put me in hospital). I like Ginny as a nn though

despise Immy? I am looking at my beautiful niece Immy just now. Not a name I would have chosen but now o don’t associate the name with anything other than that perfect girl! Other Nn for Imogen

I love Lydia and Georgia. DH has vetoed Georgia.

Doesn't have to be a two syllable first name. We just have a two syllable last name.

Verity is a family name so can't realistically use that unfortunately. Imogen is still a firm contender. DH is mulling it over for a few days to see how it sounds.

Not a two syllable name, but immediately I thought of Melody.

Regarding the name Imogen, I have one and her nn is Imo. I must have been well ahead of the trend, because mine is 27 !
