Thoughts on Keturah? Do you know any? Nickname ideas?

The Keturah I know is just Keturah to all her friends and family, she's never been shortened/had a nn.
For someone who asked, rather than Ket to rhyme with let it's more of a short "cuh" sound so its more like cuh-tour-ah. No Ketamine connotations at all though I still don't particularly like it.

But not every name gets shortened. Keturah also one of those names which are easily found in other countries and languages (like Hannah, Andrea, Lydia etc), you can't just think locally about the uk. She can stay Keturah without any problems at all.

I was serious. Hmm I've never once heard "ketty" before, despite knowing people who partake. It's entirely possible for other people to not know the exact same references you do...

No matter your circle of friends people will know what Ket and Ketty mean, and they’re the inevitable nicknames. Don’t saddle your child with that

It's a lovely name and very regal. I think that people who confer with the drugs name wouldn't be people that I'd have in my circle of friends anyway or who'd be introduced to my child. If you have any Christian or Jewish links, you'll notice that it is a respectable/sensible and authoritative name.

Well done for not choosing one of the soppy top 5 names.

Ket is synonymous with Ketamine to me, so I wouldn't. Ket/Ketty would be awful nicknames!

I love Kezia though.

Oh no, the first thing I thought was Ket, as in the common nasty drug. And the boys who walk around with hairstyles called ket wigs, sorry OP avoid avoid avoid

I know a teenage Keturah, she has siblings with also unusual biblical names so it doesn't stand out in the family. She gets sick of explaining / spelling as most people have never heard of it.

My nephew had one in his class about 10 years ago never come across another with my own children but it is unusual (enough for me to remember anyway)
