Can you do anything with the name Kenneth?

I'd love to use it as the name means a lot to me but I'm struggling to picture a baby called Kenneth

Is there any similar names or maybe making shorter? Although I'm not keen on Kenny either!!!

I know a Kenneth James (named after his Grandfather) who is 6 and never known as Kenneth - always Kent or KJ. I actually sometimes forget he is even a Kenneth because he is never called it.

I'm Irish and an Irish speaker, so what I'd do with the (perfectly fine) name Kenneth is to turn it into the gorgeous Cionnaith. Pronounced KYUN-ah.

He won’t be a baby for long though :)

I remember thinking the same about Baby George before it rocketed inpopularity but now it doesn’t sound strange at all.

Kenneth is so much more interesting and refreshing sounding than Alfie, Jack or another top 10 name. Great choice especially if it has a meaning to you!

We chose family names that mean a lot to us, and they're both the only ones in the school. And they're not unusual names, by any means.

I really like Kenneth. It's a name you don't hear anymore, yet it's a really nice name. Other than Ken/Kenny I don't think there's a lot you can do with it though.
I wouldn't be put off this name just because it's a little dated, it totally deserves a comeback. If you like it, go for it.

My DS's middle name is Kenneth, it was my grandads name and I would have had it as a first name but it would sound ridiculous with our surname. Think, Kenneth Kennington...

Anyway I know a couple of Kennys in their thirties and I quite like it, it's a name that means a lot to you do use it!

Kenneth is my dad's and my brothers name (he's in his 30's).
My brother hates being called Kenny though, so has always been Ken or Kenneth.
It's my 3 year olds middle name too.

I like Kenneth. Have a friend in his 40s and its never been shortened. But also know a few Kens and much prefer Ken to Kenny. After all Ben is so popular and Ken is just as nice.
