And 2x nells (who are both polish-unsure if pure coincidence!)

All under 8. All full names.

There was a big trend few years back of ellie/bella/ella sounding names...so I ashume this is just a natural progression from that.

The only ones I knew are both dead from old age
Don't know any young (or living) people with the name. Both were Ellen.

I know a Fenella, she is insipid. She is called Nelly. I don't think I'd want to be called Nell. It's like Meg. Nah.

I've known 2 in my lifetime- one is my aunt Nellie (given name) who is in her 90's and the other would be in her mid 40s called Nell as a nickname for Helen.

My great gran was also called Nelly (full name) but she died about 20 years ago.
