Expecting our third baby and really need help with names please. We currently have e d i e and n e l l as existing daughters. Am probably looking more for boys names but will take girls suggestions too

Criteria;
Similar type of name
Not popular (generally we aim for out of the top 100), prefer unusual but not wacky
Not ending with an EE sound or starting with e or n
Normally prefer names that can’t be shortened

Can you think of anything?

My first thought in line with your DCs names was Ernest, but I see you don't want an E name.

Wow, I'm so sorry, that first line of my post sounds all huffy that you don't like our suggestions. I didn't mean that! It was meant to be more like, 'okay, so we're on the right lines but not there yet. How about ...'

Sorry!

manicinsomniac · 11/06/2018 19:26

Okay, some more offerings then:

Gus, Guy, Arthur, Ewan, Garth, Kurt, Louis, Jesse

Avril, Alma, Beth, Clare, Ida, Kay, Lynne, Mabel, Maeve, Opal, Renee, Tara, Wanda

Lots of names that have previously made our shortlists have been mentioned - you’re all good at getting what we are after! Eg Tess, Austin, Iris, Grace (is a middle name already), Olive, Willa, Peggy (middle name already), Rosa, Dora, Anya. Pip is top of my list too, and I’m loving Kit

Also lots of names here I love but wouldn’t use as I (am lazy) shorten names hence wanting something I can’t do this with. But would love Romilly, Dorothy, Robin, etc if I could use a longer name

Thanks for all help so far. List is longer but not sure I’ve found it yet
