What do you think of the name chloe? Honest opinions please. Our baby is as yet unnamed and we can’t agree

I love the name. My cat (before children) was called Chloe and if it hadn't been for her than my daughter would have been Chloe.

TwinkleTee · 11/06/2018 14:40

I have an 8 day old Chloe lying asleep next to me. I think its safe to say that I love the name :)

HeyMicky · 11/06/2018 14:34

It's very nice. It's top 20 though so quite popular

Cadencia · 11/06/2018 14:31

I really like it! I know two (an 8yo and an adult), so it's not too popular either.

DramaAlpaca · 11/06/2018 14:28

It's fine. Unremarkable and perfectly nice. If you both love it, go for it.

MikeUniformMike · 11/06/2018 14:25

It makes me think of cloying too or Claw-y. Zoe is much nicer.

Wobblebeans · 11/06/2018 14:23

I like it, it's 9yr old DD1s name. Although, before we had her, I never liked it because it seemed too 'popular'. I only know of one other Chloe in her school though so maybe not.

villainousbroodmare · 11/06/2018 14:19

I personally find it rather sickly sweet. Not sure if it's because it reminds me of the word 'cloying'. Surprisingly popular dog name of invariably spoiled dogs. I infinitely prefer Cleo.

Blazinghotmonkey · 11/06/2018 14:18

I find it a little dated but it is a perfectly reasonable name and you should go for it if you and your OH like it :)

BabloHoney · 11/06/2018 14:16

Love Chloe, it’s beautiful

MikeUniformMike · 11/06/2018 14:11

The name is very nice or at least it was about 20 years ago when it was fairly unusual. It became massively popular so has already peaked.
I would be put off by how it sounds in some regional accents, and by the shortening to Chlo.
If you love the name use it.

Octopeppa · 11/06/2018 14:10

I like it.
